Tours & Cruises

Ideal for groups, the Society’s tours and cruises are led by experienced guides who bring Australia’s rich naval history to life. Journey through time to understand the Navy: learn how it has been an integral part of Sydney since 1788, how it has operated and how it has been supported. Hear little-known and remarkable stories of naval activity in war and peace, told from scenic locations around Sydney Harbour.

Discounts available for groups

If you’re booking for a group of 10 or more, contact the Cruise Coordinator to make your booking:
Email cruises@navyhistory.au or Phone 0451 218 336.

About Our Cruises

The Boat

MV BENNELONG is one of Sydney Harbour’s long-established luxury cruisers. At 80 feet long, Bennelong has all the character, charm and elegance of a classic timber boat. The boat can accommodate 80 people on the NHSA cruises.

The Entertainment

The boat is fitted with large TVs on all three decks. The photos on the TVs are brought to life by an expert commentator.

The Booklet

A high-quality booklet is provided containing maps of the harbour and the key photos shown during the cruise. This is a great souvenir of the cruise.

The Morning Tea

Morning tea is a two-course affair. First, a self-serve selection of pastries and cakes with freshly brewed coffee and tea, followed by served savoury hot food items.

The Feedback

“Most informative and educational”, “Simply the best” and “A must for all Australians and tourists”.

Need a guest speaker for your club meeting or event?

NHSA can provide an experienced speaker. Our volunteer speakers have a deep knowledge of their subjects and a passion for sharing naval and maritime history.
