WA Chapter – Monthly Meeting with Guest Speaker Nigel Rogers “The Battle of the Atlantic”

Topic:           THE BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC

The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest lasting Battle of World War 2, from September 3rd, 1939 to May 7th, 1945, some 2074 days. The Battle ranged across vast distances from South America’s River Plate to the freezing Arctic Sea, through which allied convoys shipped vital supplies to the Soviet Union. Australia played a very significant role in the Battle which included many Royal Australian Navy personnel, who were involved in anti-submarine warfare (ASW), as well as the involvement of the Royal Australian Air Force.

The NHS-WA Chapter talk is on Monday June 20th at 6:00pm at the Claremont Lawn Tennis Club, Shenton Road, Claremont. Parking is at the Tennis Club and in the public car park opposite Foodies on Davies Road. There is a $5 Admin fee, and the exact amount would be appreciated. There is a cash bar open before and after the talk.
