Preserving Australia's Naval History
From arrival of the First Fleet in 1788 to the present Port Jackson has been home to naval units. Initially ships were detached from the Royal Navy to provide Naval defence until 1859. Then followed the New South Wales Colonial Navy, the Commonwealth Naval Force from Federation and from 1911, the Royal Australian Navy.
The aim of this short walking tour on Bradleys Head where its own military history and stunning vistas combine, our knowledgeable guides will tell stories along a timeline from first European settlement to the end of WW2.
