Topic: My 26 Year Career in the Royal Australian Navy
The Speaker: The Minister for Police, the Hon Paul Papalia CSC MLA
Hon Paul Papalia entered the Royal Australian Navy in 1978 and served in the military for 26 years, eventually qualifying as a Navy Clearance Diver. Paul also served in the counter terrorist squadron of the Special Air Service Regiment and he was deployed on operations to Iraq on two occasions. In the course of his military career, Paul commanded a Clearance Diving Team, a navy patrol boat and the Navy’s Submarine Escape and Rescue Service. Paul was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) as well as Commendations from Land and Maritime Commanders before leaving the Royal Australian Navy in early 2004.
Parking is at the Tennis Club and in the public car park opposite Foodies on Davies Road.
There is a $5 Admin fee. A cash bar will be open before and after the talk.
