Hi Walter,
Some time ago I photographed both the Cowra Limbo mounting and a twin 4.7in. mounting. This latter had no splinter shield but was surely a Tribal. Both items were for sale as the caravan park cum museum had closed.
In 2006 I sent a print of the mortar to the OIC of the GI museum suggesting acquisition. As far as I can recall I had no answer.
Please find attached an image of the Mortar. When I passed a few years later it was not there.
