Written whilst serving in HMAS Sydney II
This is the second instalment of the diaries of John Ernest James.
He was in the Mediterranean Sea in HMAS Sydney and took part in the action against Italian cruisers Bartolomeo Coleoni and Bande Nere. Diaries were not supposed to be kept in war time but this one, fortunately for the Society, has been passed to the Society for publication. It will be published in two successive issues.
