After a brief period working for the Joint Intelligence Bureau Donk entered the commercial world in an executive capacity with Clyde Engineering where he stayed until retirement.

Donk married in 1936 and is survived by his wife, Alison, son Chris and daughter Gabrielle. He was a much loved “Grandonk” to their families.

A thorough gentleman, steadfast friend, patriot and warrior Donk will be greatly missed.
