Overall, the body of opinions expressed at this conference all lead back to the inevitable conclusion that the answer to any question posed is right under our nose, all we need do is apply the (historical) knowledge we already have. Commodore Goldrick said that, the military needs to maintain a breadth of vision. The King-Hall Conference provides the perfect forum for reintroducing the historical perspective to modern thought and it is through this critical evaluation, that if we can manage to see the historical model as a useful and beneficial tool, then the message that knowledge is power, will not be lost on us.
