“Q CLASS DESTROYERS AND FRIGATES OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY” (Destroyers 1942-1956) (Frigates 1953-1972) by Trevor Weaver, Published by The Naval Historical Society of Australia.
At last a book has been written on the Australian Q Class Destroyers and Frigates. The author, Trevor Weaver, must be congratulated for his painstaking research. This historical record will be enjoyed by many of us who served in the “Qs”, whether destroyers or frigates, as well as those researchers of Naval history. This detailed history of these vessels is splendid, embracing every facet of their career from launching to decommissioning.
The Q Class vessels played a very important role in Australian Naval history and the author has written a superb account of it.
