I refer to the back cover of the latest (December 2013) issue of the NHR. The painting of the lovely Kanimbla shows her post her time as HMAS – the navigation radar makes the point. Somewhere in the collection of NHS pictures which I scanned some years ago (but which do not seem to be available anywhere on line) were some by the late Derek Simon who was navigation officer in her when she was HMS. I submit that they could make an interesting item for NHR.

By Editor –Graeme, I fear you may be right and we have made yet another artistic blunder. The picture and description were taken from the web with an evident need for caution. We have since attempted to find the history of this particular painting and the artist but so far without success.
